Privacy policy

GASP (gasptv.com) is a guide to short dramas and AI films, based in Delaware, USA. You can use all of it without an account. This page says what we collect, why, and who else is involved.

The short version

• We have no accounts and we set no advertising or tracking cookies.
• We keep your email address only if you give it to us, and only for what you gave it for.
• We do not sell personal data.
• To see or delete what we hold about you, write to [email protected].

What we collect and why

• Email sign-up. If you leave your address for our email, we store the address, the time and the country the request came from. We use it only to send that email.
• "Email me when it changes". If you ask to be told when dramas on your list change, we store your address and the list.
• Submissions from creators. If you submit your work, we store what you enter in the form (title, link, your name, your email, your description and your answers about rights), the time and the country. It is also emailed to us. We use it to consider and list your work and to reply to you.
• Ratings. When you rate a drama we store the rating. To allow one vote per person we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address and the drama, for 30 days. We cannot turn that code back into an IP address, and we do not store the IP address itself.
• Clicks on "watch" buttons. We count how many times each button is used per day, and which page or post it came from. The count is not tied to you.
• Your list. "My list" is kept in your own browser. It is not sent to us unless you ask for email alerts.
• Visits. We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify visitors. Our host, Cloudflare, also processes IP addresses and keeps short-lived logs in order to deliver the site and protect it.

Others involved when you use the site

• Video players. Films and trailers play from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode) or Bilibili, inside our pages. When a page with a player loads, that service receives your IP address and may set its own cookies once you press play. Their own privacy policies apply.
• Cover images and fonts. Drama covers load from the apps' own servers and our fonts load from Google Fonts. Those servers see your IP address when they deliver a file.
• Links to the apps. Many "watch" links are affiliate links (see how we make money). When you follow one, the app and the affiliate service that issued the link can record the click, and the install or purchase that follows, so that we are credited. We receive totals and commissions, not your name or contact details. What the app does with your data is covered by the app's own policy.

How long we keep it

• Email addresses: until you ask us to remove them or unsubscribe.
• Submissions: for as long as the work is listed, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Vote codes: 30 days. Click counts: about four months.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw a submission, by writing to [email protected]. We will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU, the UK or a US state with a privacy law, you have these rights by law, and you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

GASP is not meant for children under 13, and many of the dramas we list are made for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we will change this page and its date first.
