What it costs to finish a ReelShort drama: we priced all 79

By GASP editors · October 2, 2026

ReelShort’s free episodes run out fast, and then every episode costs coins. We took every drama in our October 2 count, 79 in all, and worked out what it costs to unlock the rest using ReelShort’s own published prices.

The short version: finishing a typical ReelShort drama with coins costs about $26. For 63 of the 79 dramas, the $14.99 weekly pass is the cheaper way, as long as you finish within the week.

The prices we used

ReelShort’s coin guide says a standard episode “usually costs 60 coins”, and that 500 coins cost $4.99. That’s about 60 cents an episode. Its subscription page lists the weekly VIP pass at $14.99 on the web, with new users paying $11.99 for their first week. Monthly VIP is $49.99 and yearly is $199.99.

Prices inside the iPhone app can be higher than on the web, and bigger coin packs include bonus coins. ReelShort’s own table shows the $29.99 pack giving 3,750 coins, which works out roughly 20% cheaper per coin than the $4.99 pack.

What a drama costs to finish with coins

Cost to finishDramas
Under $107

The median is $25.75. Live-action dramas cost more than AI dramas, $31.74 against $24.55, mainly because they run longer.

When the weekly pass wins

The weekly pass costs $14.99. Once a drama has more than about 25 locked episodes, coins cost more than that, which is the case for 63 of 79 dramas. If you’re a new user paying $11.99 for your first week, the pass wins for 69 of 79.

The catch is time. A pass only saves money if you watch everything inside seven days. Most ReelShort episodes run one to two minutes, so even a 90-episode drama is a few evenings, not a few weeks.

How to pay less

  1. Check the episode count first. Under about 25 locked episodes, buy coins. Over that, take the weekly pass.
  2. If you take the pass, line up two or three dramas and finish them in the same week.
  3. Buy bigger coin packs if you do buy coins. Bonus coins make the larger packs cheaper per episode.
  4. Use the free coins. Daily check-ins and invites add up. See every legit way to watch for less.

Method: episode counts and free episodes come from each drama’s ReelShort page on October 2, 2026. Cost to finish = locked episodes × 60 coins × $4.99 per 500 coins, using the prices in ReelShort’s coin guide and subscription page on the same date. Some episodes may cost a different number of coins, and promotions change prices. Every drama page on GASP shows its own cost.
